    Safe riding tips

2 wheeler riding requires some extra precautions be taken to ensure the safety of the rider and passenger. These precautions are:

    1. Always wear a properly approved helmet and assure that the strap is properly locked.
    2. Familiarize yourself with the vehicles and its controls before riding.
    3. Be cautious while riding on wet roads since braking distance doubles on a rainy day. Stay off the painted surface marks, greasy appearing areas as they can be especially slippery.
    4. Always maintain the correct tyre pressure as recommended by company. High pressure cause poor road contact which may lead to skidding while taking a turn or applying brakes. Low pressure leads to wobbling, overheating and low pickup.
    5. Always apply both the brakes for effective stoppage of vehicle. Don't disengage the clutch while braking. Never apply single brake separately as it can result into skidding of the scooter/motorcycle.
    6. Never attend your cell phone when you are driving.
    7. Always stick to the left lane and leave the right lane for faster vehicles. Never ride in the blind spot zone when following the vehicle, always maintain minimum distance.
    8. While climbing up hill, vehicle may begin to slow down and show lack of power, immediately shift to lower gears to maintain the momentum. Use engine brakes and lower gears for safe travel. Don’t ride down with neutral which leads to loss of vehicle control.
    9. Capacity of 2 wheeler is limited to 2 person only. Do not admit any rider if there is no seat available, nor load luggage in the spaces where there is no seat or loading platform.

    Mileage Tips

To get optimum mileage from vehicle we need to follow some set of guidelines

    • Ride smoothly and steadily at an optimum driving speed of 40 to 50 Km/h.
    • Service your vehicle at regular interval and change maintenance parts as per company recommended schedule
    • Avoid harsh braking.
    • Change the gear judiciously according to the speed and load requirement.
    • Don’t overload the vehicle above the specified payload.
    • Use the accelerator judiciously.
    • Cut off the engine if you want to stop for more than two minutes.
    • Maintain proper chain tension (in case of motorcycle)
    • Continuous riding with clutch lever partially pressed or/and riding with brake partially applied increase fuel consumption.
    • Drive vehicle with correct tyre pressure. Below is the recommended tyre pressure for different models (Unit : PSI)
    Model SOLO Riding DUAL Riding
    Front Rear Front Rear
    Access 22 29 22 36

    How to check vehicle Mileage

    • Fill petrol into the fuel tank up-to neck mark, ensuring that vehicle is on flat surface
    • Note down odometer reading (KMs) reading A
    • Drive vehicle for approximately 80-100 KMs
    • Note down quantity of petrol poured into the tank (In liters) C
    • Note down odometer reading (KMs) reading B
    • Refill fuel tank up-to same neck level
    Vehicle Mileage =
Existing odometer reading (At step “B”) – Initial odometer reading (At step “A”)
Quantity of petrol in Liters filled while refilling (Quantity of petrol at step “C”)
